Terms of service

1. The service

1ai.tools is a directory of AI tools. Anyone can browse it. Signed-in users can submit tools, write reviews and comments, and save tools. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to make an account.
• Give a real email address and keep access to it safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• One person or company must not use many accounts to get around our limits or decisions.

3. Listing a tool

• Submit only a tool that you own or are allowed to represent.
• The tool must follow our listing guidelines. We do not list adult, gambling, scam, hacking, deepfake-abuse, weapons, drugs, hate or other illegal content.
• The listing text must be true. AI can draft it for you, but you must check it before you publish. You are responsible for it.
• We check every listing automatically and by hand. We may edit, reject, hide or remove any listing at any time, for example when a tool changes, breaks our guidelines, or gets complaints.
• You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to show your listing, name, logo and screenshots on 1ai.tools, in our newsletter, on our social media accounts and in machine-readable files (such as llms.txt), for as long as the tool is listed.

4. Free listings and the backlink

• A free listing requires one visible link to 1ai.tools on your own website. The link must not use rel="nofollow", "sponsored" or "ugc".
• We check the link before we publish the listing and then every day.
• If the link is gone, we email you. If it is still gone after 7 days, we hide the listing until the link comes back or you pay for a year.

5. Paid listings and payments

• The 1-year listing costs $6 (USD), paid once. It lists your tool for 12 months without a backlink. It does not renew automatically.
• Stripe processes payments. Prices can change; a change does not affect a period you already paid for.
• Payment does not guarantee approval. If we reject a paid listing before it goes live, we refund the fee.
• After a listing goes live, fees are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If we remove a paid listing early because it broke these terms or the guidelines, we do not refund the fee.
• You pay any taxes that apply to your purchase, unless we must collect them.

6. Reviews and comments

• Write honest reviews based on your own use. Do not review your own tool or a competitor's, and do not offer or accept rewards for reviews.
• No spam, hate, harassment, personal data of other people, or illegal content.
• You keep ownership of what you write, and you give us a licence to show it on the site. We may remove any content.

7. Things you must not do

• Scrape the site in a way that harms it, or get around rate limits or security.
• Upload malware, or use the site to send spam or to mislead people.
• Copy the directory as a whole to build a competing service.
• Pretend to be another person or company.

8. Third-party tools and sites

Tools on 1ai.tools belong to other companies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their products, prices, privacy or claims. Check a tool yourself before you use or buy it. Some links can carry tracking tags such as utm_source.

9. AI-written content

Some listing text and checks use AI. AI can make mistakes. Listings are for information only and are not professional advice.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using the site and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as licences already used, disclaimers and liability) continue after that.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and for big changes we email account holders. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
